New bathroom remodel work

We had the opportunity to work on a classic Chicago to flat home that was converted into a single family home. The bathroom on the 2nd floor was completely untouched, with all original original finishes and fixtures.

This project was a lot of work! We took all the plaster down on the plumbing walls and the electrical walis the electrical walls. In the other areas like the ceiling we put quarter inch drywall on top on top Instead of taking it down the plaster and putting back new drywall. And then we also replaced the glass block window with the functioning frosted glass double hung.

The client wanted the renovation to make the room brighter, feel fresher and cleaner. We went with a blend of modern farm house for the design pairing Benjamin Moore simply white and white subway tile with all black tile, Plumbing fixtures and bathroom accessories. The plumbing fixtures were Moen purchased on Amazon. Black Hexagon tile from Tilebar, added a nice modern touch and interest to the floor. We got the Eljah soaking tub with the air jets from a from Menards. The vanity was a splurge from Restoration Hardware hardware, we really wanted that to be a statement piece in the beautiful reclaimed oak finish work perfectly and added warmth to the design. To match the vanity we got the same oak band finish for the mirror from Crate & Barrel. The light fixtures were from Schoolhouse adding to the vintage look.
